We hear you. As the only charity of its kind in the UK, Be Bold Be You Foundation is here to listen, create & celebrate those who have been affected by cancer or
pre-cancerous cells.
Whether you’ve chosen to have pre-cancerous cells removed or been through cancer treatment we know that we are not just celebrating the end of treatment with you; you are also stepping into a new chapter of life. We are here to celebrate with you: Through the lens of our camera, you are encouraged to express & explore your true self, celebrating your unique story and experiences. With the right support and tools, you can embrace your new identity with confidence and pride.
In the end, it’s about being bold and being you—celebrating every facet of who you are, both before and after cancer. Together, we can foster a culture of acceptance and empowerment, ensuring that no one has to navigate this journey alone. To quote Oscar Wilde, “be bold, be you. Everyone else is already taken.”
donations & fundraising
It costs £109 a day in running costs & a further £165 to provide a professional photo experience. We rely on grants & public donations to be able to provide our services which act as a powerful tool for self-discovery and empowerment. Photography allows individuals to see themselves in a new light, helping them embrace their journey, with cancer or pre-cancerous cells, and the changes that come with it.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
We’re East Midlands based (Belper in Derbyshire to be exact!) but we as the only charity of its kind in the UK we know our work is essential and is in, increasing, demand. Are you able to offer your services to help look after those affected by cancer or pre-cancerous cells?
stories from the midlands &
south yorkshire
As survivors ring that bell, metaphorically or physically, they are not just celebrating the end of treatment; they are also stepping into a new chapter of life. With the right support and tools, they can embrace their new identity with confidence and pride. Through the lens of a camera, participants are encouraged to express their true selves, celebrating their unique stories and experiences.
healthcare workers
Our goal is not just to take beautiful, empowering, photographs through the genre of modelling & boudoir but to create a supportive community where individuals can share their stories and connect with others who understand their journey, especially for those who have rung that cancer bell and are now on a new path where, perhaps, there is less support. We know that a sense of belonging is crucial for healing and acceptance.
Fancy a chat?
As a charity we base from Studio1825. The studio, itself, is situated close to Belper, North Derbyshire, and is within easy reach of junction 28 of the M1 and minutes from the A38 and A6.
Please don’t be offended if we don’t reply straight away! When we’re in the studio, we give our undivided attention to those celebrating their story which sometimes means that emails are put on hold. If the enquiry is of an urgent nature it may be worth trying to give us a call or dropping us a message on Facebook.
